Chowdreys Restaurant Description

Chowdreys is a charming restaurant serving Indian and Kashmiri cuisine. The warm décor and mellow lighting provides the perfect ambiance to enjoy their combination of sweet and spicy meat and vegetarian dishes.

Their traditional naashta or breakfast menu lists a halwa combination of three puris, a chickpea curry and salty or sweet lassi, a frothy yoghurt drink.

Starters include paneer pakora, homemade cheese dipped in spicy batter and deep fried, and shami kebab, which is minced lamb, herbs and spices cooked with lentils and fried with egg paste. For the main course, customers can opt for karahi gosht palak, a lamb and spinach curry prepared Punjabi style and murgh biryani, a chicken and rice dish served with fresh salad and yoghurt raita. Doodh jalebi, a crispy delicate dessert soaked in creamy milk provides a soothing finishing touch.
