The structure of the building is grand not to say the least. I found the seating arrangement a bit too close to comfort especially if you are dining as a couple, there is not much privacy and too open for my liking. The food is overpriced; I’ve had just as nicer food in other Chinese restaurants. The managers are inattentive and could do with cheering up. I think this place is overrated.

It would be difficult to find fault with the meal, staff and ambience at Chung Ku. We arrived on time but had a five minute wait while the window table we had requested was made ready, but the members of staff made us feel welcome and apologetic that they were not quite ready for us. Something that I am sure was down to the earlier occupants of the table rather than their doing. We chose a mixed starter for two, though there were three of us dining, crispy duck and three main courses. Everything was well cooked, with good quality ingredients and well presented by friendly attentive staff. There was enough food that we couldn't quite finish everything, this with aperitifs and a nice bottle of wine came to just under £100.00. Taking everything into account I thought this was good value and have no hesitation in recommending.
