Chutney & Lager Description

There are no prizes for guessing what the cuisine at the recently launched Chutney and Lager on Titchfield Street, Fitzrovia would be like, but it's heartening to learn that here's an Indian restaurant that does things differently. Branching away from the usual curry house atmosphere, this gleaming establishment offers a bright and airy dining space that's stylish and contemporary. Drop in with friends or colleagues for some tasty tapas or head out for a special evening en famille with their range of delicious Indian fare.

The à la carte features appetizers of king prawns tossed with onions, tomatoes and fresh herbs cooked to light crispy texture followed by a main course of chicken Chettinad, a South Indian delicacy in a spicy tomato and brown onion sauce infused with mustard seeds and peppercorns. A choice of nan bread or rice is available with the main course and kulfi or gulab jamun helps end the meal admirably. Chutney and Lager are renowned for their inventive cocktail menu along with fine wines, champagnes and draught beers.

Your Reviews of Chutney & Lager

Louise (7 August 2009)

Chutney and Lager has got to be the most tranquil, relaxing, friendliest, good value for money restaurant-bar in the West End. The food is of high standard and drink prices are very reasonable. The staff at Chutney and Lager have got to be the most professional and welcoming staff among London bar-restaurants. I would highly recommend a visit to this place.

Ankur (24 July 2009)

One of the great Indian cuisine restaurants I have ever been to in London. The services are marvellous and so is the food. It’s my personal suggestion, if you are in London, it’s a must to visit this restaurant.
