Ciao Baby Cucina - Basingstoke Description
Situated within the Festival Place, the shopping hotspot of Basingstoke, it's only natural to find customers at Ciao Baby Cucina weighed down with bags after a day of retail therapy. Spread over three levels with interconnecting mirror walls, the main staircase appears to be a floating glass structure.
The menu reflects their love for straightforward Italian cooking as evident in starters of sun-ripe avocado filled with cooked prawns and topped with a tangy seafood dressing, served on a bed of crispy lettuce. House specials feature thinly sliced calves liver braised with onions and herbs, and lamb shank slowly cooked and basted in balsamic vinegar and red wine. The exciting array of pasta sauces such as creamy gorgonzola cheese, and pancetta ham, onion, tomato, red wine and a touch of chilli bring the flavours of Italy right to the table.At the deli counter the enticing display of homemade cakes, breads and Italian delicacies may prompt you to flood your shopping cart even further.

Four of us ate at Ciao Baby Cucina on Friday night. We had a super meal and large portions, so beware! Everything was cooked to perfection, and the service was second to none; there when you needed it, but unobtrusive. We will certainly be going back.

Having carried out the installation of Ciao Baby of the main servery, main kitchen and bar area a few years back, I was thrilled to find that the premises has remaind clean and tidy and still looking in great shape, following a return visit. As a paying customer, I think all the credit is due to all staff and the owner. The meal was superb as well. All the best for the future.
