Cicada

Cicada came on the London culinary scene in Clerkenwell more than a decade ago in 1996, and restaurateur Will Ricker's successes since then have grown by leaps and bounds.  No longer a bastion of those who are only attracted by its glitzy decor, it's also known for some excellent pan Asian cuisine, and the recently refurbished restaurant and bar add to the sense of luxury, style and fun that they characterise. It attracts its fair share of celebrities alongside regulars who have come to love the delicious food on offer.

There's wasabi prawn filled dim sums alongside a crayfish, avocado and buckwheat noodle salad to begin, followed by a spicy tuna roll or a soft shell crab and chilli mayo tempura. For those who can't resist a good barbeque, there's Korean chicken or rack of ribs with black pepper sauce while specials such as steamed sea bass Sichuan style are popular favourites. End with a passion fruit pannacotta. Their wine list is extensive and there are plenty of cocktails, draught and bottled beers.
