Cigala Bar & Restaurant Description
The daily changing menu at Cigala means there's absolutely no chance of getting bored by the menu. This sleek Spanish restaurant offers consistently good food, avoiding the tapas style of serving lots of little dishes - though their tapas bar is open Monday to Friday from 18.00 to 22.30 with an extensive and excellent choice of dishes - and going for serious starters and mains instead. Expect to find delights such as grilled langoustine, aubergine and potato casserole and roast skate with broccoli and anchovies. The wine list at Cigala is extensive, offering plenty of choice to suit the varied dishes on offer and set menus are also available.

This place is a shambles. On the 29th of October, I made a reservation for the following day with the duty manager. I stated that I would be using a Good Food Guide voucher, worth £5 off the final bill (Cigala is listed in the 2005 edition as a subscriber to this offer).
The next day, I travelled all the way from Lewisham to this Holborn restaurant and was promptly told they would not accept this offer as they “knew nothing about it”.
They had my contact details, yet didn’t see fit to call me and let me know that they had changed their mind about participating in this agreement. Trying to find alternative restaurants on a Saturday night is not easy. I found their smug attitudes and superiority nauseating. The pony-tailed staff think that the “buzz” this place generates allows them licence to treat customers with contempt.
