Circus Cafe and Restaurant, The Description

The vision that Alison and Geoffrey Golden, the owners of The Circus, had in mind before they opened their restaurant, was simple. It was to serve fresh British food, at honest prices, in one of Bath's most beautiful settings. Circus recently opened after a fourteen-month refurbishment and is already known to offer food that is clearly a superior combination of style and affordability.

The Circus is surprisingly not too crowded despite its location between two of Bath's most famous pieces of architecture. Customers can choose to sit either in the main dining area or in the more intimate space downstairs.

Park yourself at one of their tables by the window and enjoy the view, while sipping on coffee and eating sandwiches, homemade cakes and buttermilk scones at any time of the day. At mealtimes, there is a wonderfully light crab and lemongrass soup, home smoked organic Shetland salmon with sorrel cream, and roasted shoulder of lamb, wrapped in spring cabbage leaves. To pamper your senses, try their extremely rich chocolate pot.

Your Reviews of Circus Cafe and Restaurant, The

Stephen Cook (17 November 2008)

We were looking for somewhere nice for a special occasion; my wife's fortieth birthday. We were not disappointed. This is a lovely restaurant with excellent food, service and good value for money. The wild boar was superb.
