Located close to the Barbican on the Walkway above Moorgate Underground Station, City Boot is a traditional wine bar, one of Davy's many in the city. In the light and airy bar guests can enjoy a range of delicious sandwiches, pâtés, and cheeses and then move on to the dining room where dishes such as 28-day aged topside of cold beef, steak, kidney, mushroom and ale casserole and smoked haddock kedgeree delight the palate. Shropshire blue, basil and courgette tartlet, smoked salmon and a tortilla plate as well as daily specials offer more variety. Round off with satisfying puddings of treacle tart with Dorset clotted cream and pannacotta with raspberry coulis. The wine list includes a fine range of Davy's Own Label house wines as well as an excellent range of champagne and a number of vintage ports.
