Conveniently located within an hour's drive from Canterbury, Dover and Channel Tunnel and set in the charming Wealden countryside is this famous tea room and gift shop. Ever since Brian and Janet took over the operations in nineteen eighty four, it has won many awards and a steady fan following.

The half timbered low ceiling tea room provides a beautiful setting for morning coffees, light lunches or afternoon teas. Among the cakes try the almond slice, lemon Madeira or fruit cake. There's also meringue filled with fresh cream and hot bread pudding. A variety of sandwiches including cheese with ham, prawn or tuna present themselves on the menu. For something heavier, the Ploughman's lunch stands up to be counted. Teas are elaborate affairs with prime pickings from India, China and Nepal. Ice creams, scones and flavored drinks are also available. A range of Moorcroft pottery, soft toys and jewellery are sold in the gift shop.
