Clarke's Restaurant
122-124 Kensington Church Street, London, W8 4BH
Clarke's is named after owner and chef Sally Clarke, who works tirelessly to maintain the exceptionally high standards that regulars have come to expect after several successful years from this intimate and very personal restaurant. The menus change regularly reflecting only the best and freshest in season. Lots of char-grilling, beautiful salads, a vast array of vegetables and delicious seasonal desserts all go to make up the style at Clarke's. The à la carte offers pea and Jerusalem artichoke risotto with aged Parmesan, white wine and chicken stock, slow baked leg of Barbary duck with pomegranate and Clementine glaze and baked root vegetables. Sally has a very tempting shop next door with a tiny cafe for snacks, where she also sells her home baked breads, tarts, cakes, muffins, jams, pickles - and lots more.Clarke's is named after owner and chef Sally Clarke, who works tirelessly to maintain the exceptionally high standards that regulars have come to expect after several successful years from this intimate and very personal restaurant.

REVIEWS OF Clarke's Restaurant
Anna-Sofie (13 November 2005)
Lovely dinner last night... we had a fantastic duck that had been slowly roasted all day and finished dinner with amazing cheese. The atmosphere was nice, we sat downstairs where you can look into the kitchen. Only minus was the pace of the dinner, they were serving it like they had booked the table for someone else after us. Will definitely go back another night, but remember to ask for slow food this time.

October 2003: Our last night in London...Saturday...hard to get a reservation, but we were fortunate enough to book Clarke's on the recommendation of several of our Los Angeles friends. From the Vin d'Orange aperitif (wonderful...thank God they didn't give us more than one ! We would have floated out...we are searching for a recipe to make our own version...heavenly, I tell you, reeking of summer in the midst of Pumpkin time) to the amazing middle courses to a smashing finale...we definitely got our just des(s)erts. Service, ambience and location were lovely, really lovely. As Clarke's won't let you in a moment before the appointed time, it's lucky that the surrounding neighborhood is chockful of charming stores full of gleaming brass, antiques that actually look worth owning and other restaurants. Clarke's was a fitting finale to our stay in London. I would absolutely return. Clarke's is a Californian chef doing marvelous magic in a foreign land. Go.
