Clarke's Restaurant Description
Clarke's is proudly named after owner and chef Sally Clarke, who works tirelessly to maintain the exceptionally high standards that regulars have come to expect after twenty one successful years from this intimate and very personal restaurant.
The menus still change twice daily reflecting only the best and freshest in season. Lots of chargrilling, beautiful salads, a vast array of vegetables and delicious seasonal desserts all go to make up the style at Clarke's. The Saturday brunch 11 am - 2 pm is very special also - homemade granola, muffins and bagels feature alongside fabulous eggs benedict and Lincolnshire sausages with homemade mustards.
The 4 course dinner menu now offers - from May 2006 - a small choice of three choices within each course, a revolutionary change after so long, but you can also call ahead to find out what is planned - or just book and be surprised! Those with allergies or dietary problems are always accommodated.
Sally also has a very tempting shop next door with a tiny cafe for snacks, where she also sells her home baked breads, tarts, cakes, muffins, jams, pickles - and lots more.
Fixed Dinner
- £39.75 (3 courses) to £49.50 (4 courses incl coffee & truffle)
Your Reviews of Clarke's Restaurant

Lovely dinner last night... we had a fantastic duck that had been slowly roasted all day and finished dinner with amazing cheese. The atmosphere was nice, we sat downstairs where you can look into the kitchen. Only minus was the pace of the dinner, they were serving it like they had booked the table for someone else after us. Will definitely go back another night, but remember to ask for slow food this time.

October 2003: Our last night in London...Saturday...hard to get a reservation, but we were fortunate enough to book Clarke's on the recommendation of several of our Los Angeles friends. From the Vin d'Orange aperitif (wonderful...thank God they didn't give us more than one ! We would have floated out...we are searching for a recipe to make our own version...heavenly, I tell you, reeking of summer in the midst of Pumpkin time) to the amazing middle courses to a smashing finale...we definitely got our just des(s)erts. Service, ambience and location were lovely, really lovely. As Clarke's won't let you in a moment before the appointed time, it's lucky that the surrounding neighborhood is chockful of charming stores full of gleaming brass, antiques that actually look worth owning and other restaurants. Clarke's was a fitting finale to our stay in London. I would absolutely return. Clarke's is a Californian chef doing marvelous magic in a foreign land. Go.
