Cliffords Cottage
Bracklesham Lane, Bracklesham Bay, Chichester, PO20 8JA
A welcoming place in a thatched, low-beamed setting where conscientious staff attend to your every need in a natural and friendly way. The menus, which change regularly, are comfortingly predictable and the local support bears witness to the wisdom of the owners. Local produce is deployed where appropriate and the quality of ingredients in general merits close attention, most of the vegetables and salads are from the owner’s own garden. The wine list contains a good all-round selection, with prices that will not ruin your meal. House wine at £14.40.English, French

REVIEWS OF Cliffords Cottage
Mad Jones (7 December 2010)
We have been going to Cliffords Cottage for years and have always had a great time. We have been to all the great restaurants, but Cliffords Cottage has the best food we have ever had. We live near London and travel to Bracklesham Bay just to go to this restaurant. We even had our wedding reception here and it was perfect. Most people moan about the food at a wedding reception but everyone complimented on how good the food was and now our friends are going there. There was no stress, the owners asked what we wanted and we got that and more. It was perfect and I could not thank the owners enough. It was truly amazing. The value for money is great. All food is local and the vegetables tend to come from the garden. We have never had a bad meal there and would highly recommend it.

My wife and I have dined at Clifford's Cottage regularly for several years, and have never been disappointed. The food is always prepared to a high standard, and is only matched by the warmth of the welcome from the hosts. We have even come home with fresh eggs from their own hens! Having dined all over the world in some of the best hotels around, Clifford's Cottage is certainly up there amongst them.
