I've eaten there a few times, normally when I've been playing golf at the attached course. The food here is good, although slightly pretentious and not inexpensive and in that respect is more Gordon Ramsay than Clive Ramsay! The staff are excellent anytime I've been there, although service can be a bit slow - even when it's quiet - for example, my wife waited just over 20 minutes for a bowl of soup when there were only a couple of other people in the restaurant. Overall, a good place to eat, food is good and well presented but can also be expensive, service can be slow but the enthusiasm of the staff compensates somewhat.

My Partner and I have recently started going to Clive Ramsays restaurant at the golf club in Bannockburn due to the lack of good places in Stirling. I've got to say, it is always fantastic though I have noticed the service to be quite slow when it's busy. This I can understand though! I had a nice think cut of ribeye steak, which was cooked a perfect medium. My partner had the fish and chips - which she said was great - nice and crisp batter and obviously good homemade chips. At weekends they have a pianist who creates a nice atmosphere. I've also gone for lunch and the odd coffee during the day, which is of very good quality. This restaurant definitely does not serve standard golf club fare. The location is disappointing but it's worth the wee journey up.
