Club Bar & Dining, The

This newly established and worthy successor to The Sugar Club is more than adequately filling the gap, with an informal bar and dining room at street level, and a downstairs cocktail lounge. They are open daily offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks from 10am, with a varied bar snack menu in the downstairs bar.

Expect to find oysters with mignonette sauce, dressed crab, hot or cold lobster, warm breads, and small plates of chicken and foie gras parfait, seared yellowfin tuna and well dressed salads.

Grilled rib eye steaks, roasted Scottish salmon and grilled or roasted fish of the day are all served with an interesting list of side dishes, followed by baked lemon cheesecake with poached mango, or an interesting selection of cheese with fig and almond cake and crackers.

The wine list is not only well travelled, it is imaginative and likely to cater for all tastes and pockets.
