Whilst it was midweek the lack of atmosphere on entering the place was tangible. Once seated menus were thrust upon us and we felt distinctly unwanted by the antipodean team. The menu had no real balance and we bypassed starters and chose pork and fish. The meat course came with a nondescript stir fry and the fish was badly undercooked. Complaints fell on deaf ears and after a coffee we left feeling hungry and totally underwhelmed.

Visited Coles for the first time in late May. It lived up to the previous reviews and the personal recommendation of a good friend. The kind attention on taking the reservation to accommodate our wishes to celebrate a special occasion were carried through to the evening in question. The warm welcome, attentive but unobtrusive service and ambience all made for a special evening. More so the menu and the food were equally excellent. We shall return!
