Collection, The

The Collection - a glittering catwalk beyond the discreetly signed entrance welcomes people to the most spirited of dining experiences - and it's definitely not for the self conscious. The huge New York style interior, propped up by giant wooded pillars incorporates a cocktail bar of no little repute, and the restaurant on the mezzanine level accented by soft lighting and exposed brickwork creates an atmosphere so mesmerizing that it has drawn in many a celebrity.

Globally influenced, fusion food is the order of the day, and changes seasonally. However, the greatest interest of the clientele is more to watch each other, and possibly over canapés such as duck and cashew wontons, sesame prawn toast, truffled wild mushroom tartlet and crispy chicken katsu with soy and lime. Then weave you way through seared Wagyu fillet, miso aubergine or black sea bass with grilled shishito pepper and black truffle sauce.

The Collection is also renowned for hosting some of London's most spectacular events, from the British Fashion Awards to showcasing the Cartier collection.
