Colony Description
Colony is an elegant restaurant located in Balfour Road, Weybridge, serving authentic Pekingese and Cantonese cuisine. It's an ideal venue to enjoy a meal after a refreshing walk along the bank of the River Wey or a visit to the motor racing museum.
The a la carte menu is extensive and includes starters such as crispy fried seaweed, squab, pacific prawns, sole surprise and satay chicken skewers. Seafood dishes include grilled sole Peking style, prawns with black beans and chilli and steamed fish.
Poultry dishes are amply represented by diced chicken and cashew nuts in yellow bean, grilled chicken Peking style and sea spicy shredded duck. Meat lovers can feast on deep fried shredded beef in chilli and aromatic crispy lamb. Singapore fried noodles and grilled dumplings complete the rice and noodles section on the bill of fare. Set two and four course options are also available.

I attended a meeting at Sony Ltd near Weybridge, after the meeting my client took us out for a meal, and then we went to Colony. They told me this is the best Chinese restaurant in the area, as I walked inside, the waiters and waitresses give us warm welcoming smiles, but only three tables were occupied. I thought a good restaurant should have more customers than that. Well, maybe because it was a Tuesday night. My client ordered the chef special banquet for us, the combination of starters were lovely, especially the crispy prawn rolls. Then for main course we had the grilled prawns in garlic and creamy sauce, which was also top class stuff. I particularly like the Szechwan mixed seafood and the sizzling steak with black peppers, both of them were excellent. Over all the meal was great and so was the service, it’s really worth going.

This is the best Chinese food in Surrey. The service is good and friendly and the Cloudy Bay is a beautiful wine. A must try are the lobster in lemon grass, and the fillet of beef with black pepper sauce.
