Combe Cottage Restaurant and Cafe Description
Combe Cottage serves quality Fairtrade tea and coffee, all day breakfast, lunch, afternoon teas and now dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. They are also open for traditional Sunday lunch from 12:15 am to 2.30 pm and for private functions by request.
Whether you want a quick snack, a cream tea or a delicious lunch, this quaint, cosy restaurant offers affordable dishes created on site using fresh, locally sourced produce.
Taken over by Paul and Kate Warren in 2005, Combe Cottage is one of the oldest cafes in Ilfracombe and has been serving the town for over 60 years! The original building probably dates from the 18th century and was previously two small cottages. Beams and other features remain adding character to the restaurant area.

The mushroom starter was tasty although the sauce is served on top of the toast made it soggy. We tried the beef and lamb dishes, which were very simply presented - steamed or boiled vegetables, etc. but the beef and lamb itself were cooked in delicious sauces and were lovely and tender. The waiter was fantastic and altogether we had a lovely time.
