The Commissary is the kind of place you have to hear about rather than one that simply attracts passing trade and the reason for this is that it's part of Eagle Wharf, a vast series of photographic studios. The restaurant is located in an airy room with views out onto the Regents Canal and Eagle Wharf Marina. There are a few outside tables to be had, perfect for a sunny day.

The menu has a Mediterranean feel to it from simple salads and sandwiches, to more hearty dishes such as pan-fried salmon fillet, served with baby leaf spinach and chorizo puy lentils, and char-grilled pork chop on a bed of creamy tarragon mash potato. The breakfast menu features baked beans or scrambled eggs on white or brown toast and the full English. Also with many a celebrity being photographed in the studios it's worth keeping an eye out for the odd famous face whilst dining at The Commissary.
