As its name suggests, Convito Cafe and Market was born when Convito Italiano was merged with its sister restaurant Betise Bistro. The Italian food and wine market and café have proved to be a popular place in Chicago's North Shore.

The café features dishes from both Betise Bistro and Convito Italiano that best reflect the simple flavors of the French and Italian countryside. The menus include steak, chicken, veal, daily fish and meat specials, earthy pasta dishes and an array of delicious appetizers and salads. Look out for dishes such as pan-seared calves' liver with apple wood smoked bacon, herb-grilled salmon, spaghetti and meatballs, and baked rigatoni Bolognese. The lunch menu offers sandwiches, pizza, and salads.

An inviting bar serves a mixed selection of drinks as well as wines from Italy, France and beyond.
