I had a take-away herring and prawn salad. It is a take-away like you've never taken away before. On a disposable plate, covered with cling film, I was served herring in marinade, prawns, samphire, beetroot, tomato, cucumber, and coleslaw and more so we took a photo of it. If I'd found the shack at the start of my holiday I'd have gone there every day. My husband had crab sandwiches, so full of crab he could hardly hold them and all for about £8. You must not miss eating there.

I just returned from eating at Cookies Crab Shop, what a fantastic place. If you like seafood it's all here, and at reasonable prices. I had the crayfish royal salad which included smoked mackerel, herring, anchovies, prawns and a great salad including samphire from the local marshes, all for £6! Book ahead to avoid disappointment as it is really busy in summer months. Take your own alcohol preferably with glasses as they do not hold a drinks licence, no corkage to pay. Just chill out and enjoy the experience. Happy eating!
