Corniche Restaurant Description
The Corniche Restaurant at the Great Victoria in Bradford is an elegant Victorian dining room with original wood panels, high ceilings and large chandeliers. This may sound stuffy but on the contrary it is friendly, welcoming and reasonably priced. This restaurant is part of a stunning contemporary hotel and it blends perfectly with the stylish modern decor of the rest of the building. The restaurant is perfect for business lunches and celebrations and is also open for full Yorkshire breakfast.
The mix of English and European food is served to the accompaniment of cool jazz and salsa from the music system, and, in the evening, when the room is candlelit, it is a decidedly romantic venue for couples. Being close to St Georges Hall and the Alhambra, there is always a good quick pre-theatre dinner available which is served from 5.pm. The chef, Clint Britz, uses fresh local produce whenever possible and there are seasonal offers as well. The Corniche is open from 5pm for pre theatre and early bird menus and 7pm for a la carte.
