Countryman Inn, The

Surrounded by 3500 acres of farmland, The Countryman Inn is a traditional rural hostelry situated very close to the small village of Shipley. A welcoming and relaxing patio leads to a cosy bar and a large restaurant with a rustic décor marked by an open fireplace, old books and decorative bric-a-bracs.

Reflecting the shift of seasons, the daily changing menu offers a variety of hearty home cooked dishes and pan fried garlic scallops, mixed meat meze and smoked salmon are just a few starters you could expect to see on the carte. Mains include the likes of slow roasted minted lamb shoulder, farmers' sirloin steak and roast belly of saddleback pork. Desserts such as crème brûlée, coconut rice pudding and steamed chocolate pudding never fail to hit the mark with the sweet toothed.
