We returned to one of our favourite restaurants in Cornwall to celebrate a special anniversary. The food was excellent and the staff were so helpful, adapting dishes to our particular preferences. The place may not look that special from the outside but the food and service is very special. We thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.

We have been eating there on a regular basis since Arty moved in after Kevin Viner and Pennypots, some seven to eight years ago. The location is lovely if the weather allows you to sit outside. Inside there is less atmosphere but it does have a contemporary décor. The food is always very good to excellent, especially the fish, which is cooked and presented perfectly. There is lot of colour, and good use of vegetables and sauces, and there is plenty of change and variety with daily specials. The tapas are really good sized starters or small mains. Lunch is excellent value, compared to similar food and portions in the evening which are more expensive. The prices are not cheap and the portions are not huge but freshness and high quality rather than quantity are much preferable. I highly recommend it if you like fish.
