Cowpers Oak

Cowpers Oak, High Street, Weston Underwood, nr Olney, MK46 5JS

In this post-modern information age, tranquility has become something of an obsolete luxury. Cowpers Oak, set in the quiet village of Weston Underwood, allows reacquaintance with this ancient experience of peaceful rejuvenation. Picture perfect for weddings and other functions, this lovely 17th century inn creates a warm, cosy ambience and the lip-smacking food on offer makes it a wonderful dining destination for those in the proximity of Milton Keynes and Olney. The menu changes on a monthly basis owing to the locally sourced ingredients. However signature starters like ham hock terrine with char grilled bloomer and chili jam never run out. Follow that with a main course of sirloin steak with fries, salad, grilled tomato and field mushroom and the dining experience has been done sufficient justice.

REVIEWS OF Cowpers Oak

Susan (18 February 2011)

Very chilled place with great food. I love it that I could read, play cards, just sit with my dog chat and generally feel very relaxed. I will definitely go again.

Geraldine Vinall (6 February 2006)

Attended for an evening meal. Very pleased indeed. Personal service, nothing was too much trouble although it was a busy time. Huge choice of menu with some unusual items. Food beautifully cooked and presented. Premises clean, good atmosphere and plenty of character. Will definitely be going again and can thoroughly recommend it.
