Lovely surroundings and a very exciting food menu. They want to be a Gastropub/Restaurant but I would argue that they are tending more towards a restaurant than a pub, especially if you turn up in walking boots having just walked 6 miles to get there! I felt I was being ignored by the bar staff, which made me even more determined and managed to sit outside; our waitress was very pleasant and tried to make our visit as enjoyable as possible - which she did. We only ordered simple bar food, but it was great with some really interesting combinations in our sandwiches - thoroughly recommended, but it helps if you turn up in a Range Rover or a Porsche - mine was back in the car park from where we started walking.

Fantastic atmosphere in this bar bistro. A lovely open fire to sit and drink the opening G & T! We found the privacy of the tables excellent and the menu full of exciting combinations. Our only big disappointment was that the wine we ordered was a completely different vintage to that on the wine list. The attitude of the staff when we refused the bottle was not expected of such lovely surroundings.
