Creelers Restaurant Description
Established in 1995, sister restaurant to Creelers on the Isle of Arran, which opened six years earlier, this is wonderful example of what can be done to show off the excellence of the still reasonably abundant fish and seafood available off the coast of Scotland.
They even have their own smokehouse on the Isle of Arran too, while Tim James has fished for many years, mostly with creels, and sources all the fresh seafood for the restaurants. They also have a farmers market stall in both Edinburgh and Stirling.
The restaurant is well known for its freshness and simple approach to food, the menu has an extensive shellfish base but also caters for meat eaters and vegetarians and even features game in season. The ambience is efficient, informal and friendly, which could explain why it has built up such a following over the years.

It’s a lovely restaurant, lovely food, and delicious halibut. The rice pudding is not as good as homemade but hey, that’s a very high standard! The service is excellent, not hovering about! It’s very informative, lovely girls. I would recommend. We would be back.
