Located in an uptown neighbourhood in San Diego, you'd notice the art deco setting has been tweaked a bit to give that funky edge. Once you're up start the day with lemon ricotta buttermilk pancakes or crème brûlée French toast, or their speciality Tuscan Benedict. Crestwiches at lunchtime could feature a cold turkey meatloaf or turkey and ham stack, and chicken pot pie for dinner may have grandma nodding in disapproval or envy, depending; here's chicken breast, mushrooms and bell peppers, baked in a spicy white wine cream sauce topped with a lemon pastry crust. A butterscotch pecan apple crunch helps end the meal on a sweet note.
