Croma - Manchester Description

Always a good sign to see somebody other than one of the big chains playing around at the pizza business, especially when they have been through the Big Mill before setting up on their own. Clearly they learned their lessons well and the results are several levels above what comes out of most of the chains. Of course one has to be careful in making such judgements, conscious of the fact that the pizza as a product has been so hammered as to be almost unrecognisable. Anyway if the circumstances are right most of us tend to fall for them and Croma is there to restore your faith.

Croma is an upmarket Pizza Express with sophistication. It's a lovely place and considering pizza is a dining out meal in Italy it should and can be served in nice surroundings. With nice service, food, and atmosphere, it was well worth a trip.

We went there on a Friday night without booking and had to wait for half hour - not bad. The food was nice; however, the menu was very limited. It was busy but there was a good atmosphere and we were served reasonably quickly. Prices were average; we were two of us and had two courses with two drinks for £30-£35.
