Taken on in January 2010 by Elite Management, the Cross Keys retains all its ancient charm helped by the advantages that come with a major overhaul. The overall impression is of a rural pub across the road from the church, with a keen new team determined to bring customer satisfaction in an area where the competition is keen.

In the dining room starters from a regularly changing menu may offer mussels cooked in white wine with garlic and cream or chicken liver parfait with home made pear and apple chutney. We have a staple favourite of beer battered haddock, chips and mushy peas and ever changing specials such as slow braised lamb shanks or beetroot risotto with crumbled capricorn goats' cheese. Our fish is delivered straight from Billingsgate and our meat is supplied locally from The Village Butcher. Greene King IPA and Ruddles Best are regulars and a frequently changing guest ale is on offer.
