I know a lot of people are complaining that the character of the pub has been lost but I live in Clifton and can find twenty character pubs within a short distance. What I struggle to find are pubs and restaurants serving good food with a good atmosphere. So, this one is a welcome addition. I have had lunch and dinner here once - both were fantastic. The staff are great and the food is excellent. Sure it is not cheap, but they have obviously priced themselves well as it's always busy. If you want pie and chips for £5, there are plenty of places that can satisfy your need but it ain't here.
