Crystal Rivers

116 Wharfside Street, The Mailbox, Birmingham, B1 1RF

Crystal Rivers is a gourmet restaurant in Birmingham that seems to take its name seriously enough to ensure that diners are dazzled by long streams of sparkling crystals hanging from the ceiling. Without doubt, the decor is enviably sexy and glitzy, a contemporary take on modern dining, and that's not the whole story either because their food is deliciously Mediterranean and their service impeccable. This eatery in The Mailbox has become a preferred dining destination for just these reasons. Consider the starter of Cajun spiced chicken wings with sour cream which could lead to a main course of fillet of beef and wild mushroom consommé. Other choices could include the lamb tagine cooked in mild Moroccan spices, prunes, preserved lemons and coriander.

Pizzas, salads and pasta dishes are some of the tantalising options that could cause a modicum of dilemma but forge ahead nonetheless to reach desserts such as dark chocolate truffle tart with hazelnut ice cream. Champagnes, wines and a wide array of cocktails at Crystal Rivers ensures that everything is balanced out perfectly.

REVIEWS OF Crystal Rivers

Josh (15 October 2010)

Excellent venue for group parties, our office chose this place after we heard that Jordan partied there a couple of weeks ago! We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! Definitely will be back soon!

Finally a gourmet restaurant arrives in Birmingham. By far the best food I have had in years. Crystal Rivers has an exciting menu and a stunning venue to match. The service was impeccable, the cocktails were incredible and the atmosphere made for a great evening. I would definitely recommend a visit.
