Cuisine of India opened its doors in 1989 and is now well known amongst those who value quality economic dining in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Located just east of the El Camino and NASA Parkway interchange, its spacious interior is kept simple with a clean and elegantly decorated seating area and a separate buffet section.

The kitchen retains well the authenticity of Indian cooking whilst culinary influences from Nepal can be detected in a well designed menu. Shrimp puri, whole wheat fried bread served with sautéed shrimp, the classic reshmi kebab, spiced chicken finger rolls, and Nepalese chilli BBQ chicken are some interesting starters from the carte. Traditional main courses such as fish masala are cooked in a delicately spiced tomato sauce and saag, creamed spinach vie with lamb chops and khasi ka masu, goat on the bone cooked in traditional Nepalese brown sauce, beckons the more adventurous.

Pistachio kulfi, rich and creamy homemade ice cream, and rus malai, fresh cheese stewed in sweet cardamom flavored milk, are Indian desserts worth trying.
