Cutlers on the Stray

Set in a town centre hotel Cutlers on the Stray is about the last thing you expect to find. But there it is, a definitely-with-it bistro with many of the usual suspects assembled for your enjoyment, plus quite a few more. To give maximum flexibility most dishes can be served as starters or mains including Indonesian fishcakes and farmhouse pate of Toulouse sausage, or cured salmon and crab sushi with avocado wasabi.

On the daily specials board such delicacies as braised pork shank on colcannon mash with a grain mustard sauce appear regularly. The wine list covers a pleasing range with good quality house wine in support. All this combined with the buzzy atmosphere gives a good feel to the place which clearly some of the regulars regard as their home from home.
