This mainly organic - including all their meat - restaurant was winner in 2007 in the independent category at the RSPCA 2007 Good Business Awards; all their beef comes from a local farm, and is both butchered and hung on the premises. Comfortable relaxed seating in a heavily beamed room with pristine tablecloths and silver service. Organic ingredients and locally sourced meat sounds good but our food, with the exception of steaks, was disappointing. The chips were not crisp and vegetables were ordinary. Perhaps we are spoiled living in London but I don't believe a restaurant would survive charging £18.95 for this meal in London.
