Just attended my friend's wedding reception at De Courcey's and I must say, I would highly recommend it. From start to finish everything was excellent. Set in beautiful surroundings, excellent staff and food to die for. It was as the Lou Reed song says a perfect day.

I've just visited De Courcey's and I am quite amazed at what I found. The grounds are quite exquisite and in the midst of them is the beautiful building which houses the restaurant and function rooms. There is ample room for parking close to the building and adequate disabled parking. On arrival we were shown to the comfortable, beautifully decorated Bar area where we were served with canapes and drinks and presented with the menus. The service from the time we arrived was excellent and this exemplary and personal service continued throughout our visit. Then, there's the food!! There are not enough superlatives to fairly describe the quality of the food at De Courcey's. It is beyond excellent in taste and appearance. It was obvious that the Chef paid great detail to the appearance of the food, as well as the superb taste. The price was very reasonable for such a fine meal and the drinks were also very reasonably priced. I cannot praise the place enough. I eat out at excellent restaurants regularly, but I feel like I've found a hidden diamond in North Cardiff that everyone should try. Believe me - it's well worth it. We've already booked again for Sunday Lunch next week and for a party of 30 for a birthday celebration in November. The restaurant is under excellent new management this year.
