Deans at Let's Eat Description

The husband and wife team of Willie and Margo Deans have taken up the reins of this prestigious Perth restaurant, Let's Eat, since October 2005 and retained the previous AA Rosette status; a member of the Master Chefs of Great Britain, Willie, has a good repertoire of recipes which have brought him some top notch awards in his 25 years in the industry.

Willie describes his cooking as vibrant modern Scottish. The focus is firmly on flavour and seasonality, most of his ingredients at Let's Eat are sourced locally and quality is not compromised. All aspects of the dishes are freshly made with great attention to detail and shown in the homemade breads, sauces and chocolates to name but a few.

Fixed Lunch

  • £11.95 (2 courses) to £16.95 (3 courses)

Your Reviews of Deans at Let's Eat

George Gill (1 October 2008)

I am a regular at Deans at Let's Eat and just to let you know their name is Deans. Willie works tirelessly in the kitchen producing food, which would stand amongst the best, while Margo just smiles and welcomes you as if she is inviting you to her home. Margo endorses Willie's food as brilliant while stating he is a ‘rubbish’ husband, but they have been together 23 years so I think this is part of her Ayrshire humour. They have worked hard to give Perth a restaurant critically acclaimed by the best critics and yet they feel there is work still to be done. Go for their great food, relaxed atmosphere and Margo's smile!

Dunworkin' (29 September 2008)

After reading the reviews posted here and elsewhere, I thought Deans would be worth a try. The food and table service were excellent and overall, I thought the meal was good value for money. However, the initial impression when walking into the restaurant did make me wonder if I'd made a wise choice - a rather brusque reception, flat tonic water in the G and Ts, no offer of tap water on the table and, despite the restaurant being relatively quiet, a table right by the toilets, when other quieter tables were available for the duration of the meal. These complaints aside, which were addressed on the night, but not with much grace from the staff, I would chose to eat there again on my next visit to Perth.
