Delfina

Situated within a converted Victorian chocolate factory within the Bermondsey Heritage Conservation Area on London's South Bank, Delfina's light and spacious gallery is a highly fashionable lunchtime venue.

The menu is globally inspired using light, fresh ingredients by Head Chef Richard Simpson, the contents change every three weeks, but typical starters could offer Asian spiced king prawns, mango, lime, coriander salsa, mint yoghurt dressing; roast quail, beetroot abd confit carrot tian, goats cheese, beet oil or ham hock and tarragon terrine, char-grilled courgettes, herb salad, tarragon oil.

Their eclectic main courses are thoroughly tempting with the likes of chilli roasted globe artichokes stuffed with haloumi, parmesan polenta chips; char-grilled rib eye, chilli, shallots, capers, Asian sprout salad or braised osso bucco, roasted baby vegetables, caramelised red onions, lemon and garlic potato puree.

Desserts come from a wide ranging universe and might include rhubarb and honey cake, rhubarb compote, jasmine ice-cream; orange and banana cheesecake, raspberry coulis, parmesan lollipop or chocolate stuffed doughnut, chocolate sorbet, cinnamon honey.

The varied wine list starts from £16.50 bottle with a wide choice of wines also available by the glass. The restaurant operates from Monday to Friday starting at 8 am for coffee and fresh cookies with lunch served from 12 noon to 3 pm. The restaurant is also open Friday nights for dinner from 7 pm to 10 pm.
