Demuths Restaurant

A lively and well-established restaurant in the centre of Bath, Demuths has gained a reputation for innovative, pure vegetarian and vegan food. But it is not just the food that is warm and exciting, the décor matches it well.

Open every day of the week, but with 38 covers only, Demuths can become pretty full, but there is a laidback, relaxed atmosphere at all times with very friendly waiting staff. They also run a vegetarian cookery school where you can learn to cook the Demuths style of cuisine.

Go there for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea with home made cakes or dinner. For lunch why not sample the trio of local cheeses with their own chutney, pesto and salsa, for dinner try the Mediterranean mezze or japanese miso ramen noodles. The puddings too are delicious.

There is a good range of drinks including wines, beers, ciders and softies, all of which organic. It is essential to book on a Friday or Saturday night. No bookings taken for Saturday lunchtime, it's a simple policy of first come, first served.
