This is one of those delightful places for which people make substantial detours. The setting would delight the average conservationist, with its wooden floors and handsome well-used fireplaces. For those to whom fish dishes are irresistible, this is your sort of place. Ingredients arrive fresh from Cornwall and when prepared include such delights as red snapper, squid and scallops with a delicious Thai-style sauce. And as for the lobster bisque and Thai fish curry . . .The two-course lunch at £10 must be the best value for miles. This is a Wadsworth's house so you can trust the beer, which like everything else, is well kept, and that includes the fish-targeted.
