At the Strickland arms we found that booking is almost essential as it gets very busy and you can wait a reasonable amount of time for service. Once you get service however it is impeccable. The food comes in very large portions so you do get enough value for your buck as it is quite expensive. Both of my parents were outdone by the fish and chips and even I found the wild boar sausage a struggle, albeit a delicious one.
