The Dining Room at Buxted Park is a superb new contemporary restaurant set at the heart of a wonderful 18th century Georgian Mansion. Colours are warm grape tones with rich dark woods and seating is arranged to provide the utmost privacy, whilst still retaining the wonderful atmosphere of this fantastic country house. House wine from £18.50.

We eat at Buxted regularly and the dining room is tastefully decorated and modern, the food is excellent and very consistent. Each time we eat there it is always an experience. Sundays are the best as there are lots of puddings to be had. The service is a little slow but the staff are very friendly so can be forgiven. I would highly recommend this restaurant as it has the most elegant of settings, and if you eat too much there are lovely grounds to explore and walk the calories off, and for the children to play.

The meal was of an excellent standard and very well presented. The staff were excellent and very efficient however the eating area was very bright and the atmosphere was not conducive to a romantic meal due to the close proximity of other tables.
