The Dragon Way at Newington enjoys a reputation as one of Edinburgh's oldest Chinese restaurants. The traditional menu focuses on dishes from the Canton, Peking and Szechwan provinces.

The Chef's recommendations include kung po, marinated meat, lightly battered and cooked in a spicy sauce of green pepper, bamboo shoots and nuts, and lar chee, which means little chillies, much in evidence in this dish made with either prawns, chicken or roast pork, with mixed vegetables and rice wine.
