Tourists who go to Ashdown forest, earlier known as Lancaster Great Park to walk, cycle, indulge in bird watching and enjoy the company of deer, visit there.

What makes this cosy restaurant special is its three-hundred year history where it passed from being a small cottage, and later a grocery store, to a tea room of repute. The cakes are made daily and there is ample variety to please everyone. Sit out on the lawn to enjoy their famous cream teas and a scone - fruit or plain - with strawberry jam, whilst listening to the song of a Dartford Warbler. Makes for an ideal summer afternoon doesn't it?
