Dudley Arms Description

Housed in a 17th century coaching inn, Dudley Arms is an impressive venue situated in the sleepy village of Ingleby Greenhow. The restaurant exudes conviviality with medieval artefacts and exposed stone walls adding to the old world charm, while the D'Lisle Bistro is a more informal affair with its dark wood furniture and red upholstered seating, which enliven the place.

The menu pays a special tribute to steak and fish with a separate section for seafood starters like prawn cocktail and crispy whitebait. Lovers of steak will be happy to know that Dudley Arms have an enviable reputation in the quality of beef on offer, which is hung until tender and then butchered. Those who would like to tread the off-beat track could ask for the pepper or garlic steak served with aioli sauce. Finish with chocolate Pavlova with fresh cream or raspberry crème brûlée topped crispy caramel for a well rounded meal.

Your Reviews of Dudley Arms

Helen (27 December 2007)

They always have brilliant, good homemade food. I have never had a disappointing meal there in twenty years.

Dudley Arms (4 November 2007)

On Friday evening my brother took my husband and some friends to the Dudley for a meal. What a disappointment, crab morney was cold, potatoes raw, and I ordered loin of venison and got roast joint of venison. We’ve been going to the Dudley since 1976 and the meals have always been excellent having spoken to friends who have recently been to Dudley. They have all said the same, even the chips had changed, and if all of us ate the vegetables, there would not have been enough to go around. I didn't complain at the time because I didn't want to embarrass my brother who was paying for the meal.
