Duet Cuisine Description
If chicken tikka is your thing but your friend prefers pasta, here's a place where the dispute ends amicably. Duet Cuisine, situated in the refurbished Fort Dunlop warehouse offers both cuisines together, creating a pairing and not fusion, as they like to painstakingly mention.
The juxtaposition of Indian with Italian is done with flair and patrons can expect to find on the starter menu chicken pakora, diced breast meat marinated in spicy batter and fried, on par with scampi fritti, king prawns coated with light butter, deep fried and served with mixed salad. For mains, check out the lamb pathia, where chilli, lemon and sugar get combine for an explosion of tastes just as good as penne al gorgonzola, pasta with mushrooms, cream and gorgonzola cheese sauce.
Pizzas find apt companions in the naans on offer, while signature dishes for both cuisines make the menu interesting and varied. Expect to pamper your sweet tooth with mango kulfi or tiramisu.

We ate there on a Tuesday night when we had a power cut at home and I'm glad we did, because this is a gem of a place for the prices they charge. It's nice to be able to eat out and get quality food for a reasonable price, especially in Erdington area which is not exactly blessed with good eating establishments. We'll definitely be going back.

The restaurant is not so obvious to get to, but once you’re there it is a comfortable place with a nice open floor plan. Subtle shades of wine red and off white cream. The chairs were comfortable but not nice to lean back on. The food was exquisite, served in a timely manner, and nowhere near as expensive as it could be for such tasteful food. Unfortunately, I was so full of Indian food that I was unable to begin Italian. However, it is a perfect reason to keep me coming back for more. The Service was very good, we were interrupted in two minutes of receiving our food which I think was a bit too soon to be asking that. However, there was always someone on hand if we wanted more food or drink.
