With a name like this, you might expect a restaurant beaming with pride and e.go does not disappoint. It's both posh and trendy with contrasting hues and shades of purple lighting adding a sense of richness. Enter a world of strangely hypnotic wall art, vivid roof colours and wall to ceiling windows that share space with some fine fittings and tableware.

Owner Mikkel Shafi is no stranger to the Copenhagen dining scene and his other Michelin listed restaurant Kokkeriet has received rave reviews. The French inspired cooking is characterized by some virtuoso presentation such as Swedish caviar with the usual accompaniments and oysters 'pearl blanc' with lemon compote. Amongst the starters there are gambas and scallops with macademia, quail egg and fresh salad; foie gras and veal jaw with pear chutney and rye bread, and foamed Jerusalem artichoke soup with white port, chips and lumpfish roe.

This could be followed by mullet with spring cabbage, fjord shrimp and jus; duck breast with risotto, asparagus and French watercress, and lamb with celery, foam and ashes. Chocolate fondant with blood orange and crunch and white chocolate pannacotta with rhubarb and popping candy are some notable desserts. Round off your meal with a special Italian espresso coffee, known as macchiato.

Take time to dally over some Stella Artois, Franziskaner, 1999 Brut Impérial, Rosé, Moët and Chandon or some fine ale from Denmark.
