Eagle & Child, The Description

If you are fairly local to Bispham Green, then consider yourself to be very fortunate in having The Eagle & Child on your front doorstep. You will sup well and enjoy some excellent cask conditioned ales as well as an extremely enterprising wine list. With the kitchen in the capable hands of Neil McKevitt, formerly of Ziba in Liverpool, the cooking tends to be relatively simple but tempting, reasonably priced and of a very decent quality. Experience dishes such as tomato and goat's cheese tart; loin of lamb; toasted cheese and red pepper panini or battered cod with mushy peas to the fore, finishing up with sticky toffee pudding.

Your Reviews of Eagle & Child, The

Julie Kay (28 January 2008)

My family and friends recently had a meal at The Eagle & Child and we had a lovely time in cosy surroundings. The food was absolutely fantastic - everyone had a clean plate, even the children. It was good value for money and a very special evening. We’d like to thank the Chef and all the staff - especially the friendly management and bar staff. We have been visiting your establishment for almost 16 years and have never had a bad meal yet. Keep it up.

EJMoore (17 September 2007)

I have eaten many times at the Eagle and Child, and have always found the atmosphere, the food and the service to be excellent. The menus have been interesting and tasty, vegetables, fresh and well-cooked, giving it a nice cosy pub feel to the place. My elderly mother eats very little, and they were happy to serve her a half-portion for half the price or sometimes free of charge. It's good value anyway, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
