Eastenders Restaurant
7 The Quay, Waterford, N25
There are not too many places around Waterford City Centre offering Indian and European cuisine under the same roof; Eastenders is one such restaurant and is now back with a bang post-refurbishment. Dim lights and neutral shades are out and the dining area looks bright and gleaming with bold hues and stylish furnishings. When it comes to food, you'd notice two night menus, on one visit you could go the Indian way with tender pieces of barbecued chicken or lamb, and deep-fried mushrooms marinated with herbs and bread crumbs, or a full blown European with chicken goujons, spaghetti Bolognese and sirloin steak. The carte is well divided and is particularly helpful for Indian cuisine novices; here kormas, tikka masalas and pasandas are for those with a delicate palate, but those who can handle the spice could try jalfrezis, Madras and the daring vindaloos. There are not too many places around Waterford City Centre offering Indian and European cuisine under the same roof; Eastenders is one such restaurant and is now back with a bang post-refurbishment. The weekly menu specials at Eastenders are equally exciting with dishes that demonstrate unique flavour and pairing.

REVIEWS OF Eastenders Restaurant
Ormolu (3 July 2009)
I visited Eastenders last Saturday night. It has been refurbished and is now called just Eastenders Restaurant. It serves European as well as Indian cuisine. The food is just wonderful and very affordable. The atmosphere is so relaxed with Indian music playing in the background. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Overall a very enjoyable night and will definitely go back. They are open now for lunch and buffet on Sunday. They have a good website with all the menus on it.
