Eastside Inn

Eastside Inn offers two remarkable but different dining experiences in their elegant St. John Street location in London with a focus on offering contemporary French cuisine prepared with only fresh ingredients. At their informal 55 cover bistro, there's a bespoke Bonnet stove around which the diners are seated so they can enjoy the traditional fare, while the restaurant offers a more cosmopolitan ambience, complete with modern works of art gracing the walls.

For a light meal, the grilled quail with honey plum glaze followed by roasted plaice with sundried tomato, lemon and capers from their bistro menu works well to assuage hunger pangs without weighing you down. A more formal meal however could entail starters of caramelised Orkney scallop with roe consommé and black radish and later on a roasted grouse is served with bread sauce, redcurrant and watercress. As an indulgence, the dessert of black and white praline mousse with tonka bean ice cream is simply perfect. The wine list is largely French along with some New and Old World choices.
