Eden Bar and Grill

The historic market town of Thame, with its mile long main street is a delightful settlement surrounded by beautiful countryside speckled with tiny, charming villages, many of them with cosy thatched cottages. The lovingly restored Spread Eagle has stood imposingly in the heart of Thame since the 16th century and over the years has played host to Charles II, French prisoners from the Napoleonic wars, famous politicians and writers such as Evelyn Waugh.

The Eden Bar and Grill serves classic brasserie dishes with an exciting contemporary twist. The repertoire could include choices such as rich man's fish and chips, spicy lamb kebabs with minted couscous or goats cheese, apple and celery terrine with rocket salad. Save room for the desserts such as homemade chocolate cake with orange jelly or the iced honeycomb parfait. Private rooms are available for parties of 10 and over.
